Product description
Covent Security Window Bars are a fully welded, solid steel barrier system engineered to stop forced entry through vulnerable windows on commercial, industrial and public-sector buildings. Unlike hollow-tube alternatives, our bars are constructed from 16mm solid steel and welded into a rigid 40 × 40 × 3mm box-section frame, producing a single, tamper-resistant panel with no removable parts and no serviceable fixings on the outside face. Each set is made to measure — install internally to retain full window operation for ventilation, or externally as a visible deterrent.
Frame
Fabricated from 40 × 40 × 3mm steel box section on head, jambs and threshold, with welded mounting lugs for M10 sleeve anchors (supplied).
Bars
16mm solid round steel bars set at 150mm vertical centres, reinforced with horizontal tie bars at regular intervals. All joints fully welded. Kit-form (bolted on-site) assembly available for reveal-fix applications.
Reveal fix
Bars sit inside the window reveal. Deduct 5–10mm from the aperture dimension when ordering. Available fully welded or as a kit for on-site assembly.
Face fix (plant on)
Bars sit proud of the wall, overlapping the reveal. Add 100mm to the aperture dimension when ordering. Supplied fully welded only.
Standard finish
White powder coat (RAL 9010).
Optional finishes
Full RAL and BS colour range available as a polyester powder coat. Common specifications include RAL 7016 Anthracite Grey, RAL 9005 Jet Black, BS 18 B29 Raven Grey and BS 14 C39 Holly Green.

Size range
- Minimum: 300mm wide × 300mm high
- Maximum: 2500mm wide × 2500mm high
- For apertures larger than 2500mm, multiple panels can be joined — please contact us to discuss.
Window bars can be manufactured to suit any aperture size between 300 × 300mm and 2500 × 2500mm. For larger openings please contact us to discuss multi-panel configurations.
