Steel acoustic doors
Overview
Standard leaf thicknesses are 45mm, 50mm, 55mm (dependant on rating). Like all of our doors, however, Steel Acoustic Doors can be designed and manufactured according to your custom specifications, meaning you can soundproof any building, whatever its size.
Every door is custom made to suit existing structural openings. They are designed on a CAD/CAM system and manufactured with CNC punching and pressing facilities to guarantee quality and long product life, so you can depend on it to secure your premises as intended.
Door frames
Manufactured from 1.5mm or 2mm Zintec steel compatible to leaf strength and weight, formed to a single or double rebated profile in welded form, reinforced and fitted with fixing plates or jacking screws are available as an optional extra.
Frame depth can either be 90mm, 100mm, or 150mm as standard for single rebate, on request we can fold to specified sizes and 145mm as standard for double rebate, on request we can fold to specified sizes (dependant on rating). We also offer a extending channel frame which can aid fitting when the opening is not square.
Door leaves
Manufactured from 1.5mm or 2.0mm Zintec steel (dependant on rating), double skinned tray formed or interlocking seam design reinforced internally to prevent twisting and to prolong doorset life. Internally the door leaves are in filled with acoustic infill.
Standard leave thicknesses are 45mm, 50mm, 55mm (dependant on rating). All door leaves are fitted with a security anti jemmy lip (dependant on rating).
Hardware
Doorsets are compatible for all types mortice and surface mounted locks. All of our steel acoustic doorsets come as standard with a sashlock, lever handles both sides, double euro cylinder and escutcheons both sides or panic exit ironmongery.
Our doorsets can also be fitted with a code lock where controlled access is needed as well as any range of mortice and surface mounted locks. All of our doorsets can be fitted with door closers or limit stays.
Hinges
As standard depending on size and weight, doors are supplied with 3 to 6 stainless steel ball bearing hinges. Doorsets can also be fitted with full length hinge, concealed hinges, extended, specialist cladding and customer supplied.
Cill
All doorsets come as standard with a DDA Compliant threshold which comply with wheelchair access regulations, other options are no threshold, extra low profile (6mm from floor level) and specialist inward opening to combat water ingress on inward opening doors.
Vision and Louvered Panels
Our steel acoustic doorsets can be fitted with a range of vision panels with different thicknesses of glass (dependant on rating) as well as a range of louvered panels with or without flymesh (to a maximum of 13db sound reduction).
Side & over panels
Our steel acoustic doorsets can be supplied with a powder coated side panel in the same frame profile as the doorset either solid, louvered or glazed (dependant on rating) as well as a powder coated over panel in the same frame profile as the doorset either solid, louvered or glazed (dependant on rating).
Optional extra’s
Our steel acoustic doorsets can also be fitted with kick plates, rain deflectors, drop bars, spy holes, finger protection strips and any more items that are available on request.
Finishes
Polyester powder coat and wood grain finish are available to our standard colour chart. other finishes are available upon special request.
Double doors
Double doorsets are available with top and bottom flush bolts (concealed or face fixed), or as required in the passive leaf.
